Whiteman Airport Coalition

Uniting our community to shape the future of Whiteman Airport through facts and informed voices.

Our mission

Whiteman Airport has been serving general aviation and the San Fernando Valley communities since 1946

Whiteman Airport has been part of the San Fernando Valley community for more than 80 years. It supports local jobs, flight training, emergency response operations, wildfire support, public safety activities, and small businesses. Its economic impact is massive, creating hundreds of jobs and bringing in more than $100 million in economic activity for the region.

We are calling on local leaders to prioritize modernization, safety improvements, and responsible planning before considering any irreversible decision to close Whiteman Airport.

“Local leaders should stop false narratives and move forward with practical solutions that benefit both residents and airport users.”

-Gabriel L.

“We would like (local leaders) to pursue federal funds for helping to maintain the airport. That’s essentially free money that the federal government can give you for these improvements.”
