Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Whiteman Airport.
We are officially launching Whiteman Airport across social media, creating a new way for people to connect with the airport, the individuals behind it, and the role it plays across Los Angeles County and the San Fernando Valley.

Community Stories, Public Support
For years, people throughout the Valley have stepped up to protect and advocate for this airport because they understand what it represents. It is a place of opportunity, education, public safety, workforce development, small business activity, and connection.
Now it is time to tell those stories more visibly and consistently.
We want to highlight the people, history, and everyday moments that make Whiteman important to the region. We want to showcase the pilots, students, families, mechanics, educators, emergency response partners, local businesses, neighbors, and longtime supporters who make this airport part of the fabric of the Valley.
At its core, this effort is about showing that Whiteman Airport is a valued public asset that serves real people every day. The more visible that support becomes, the harder it becomes to justify losing an airport that serves so many communities in so many ways.
Like, Share, and Reach Out
We also want this to be a collaborative effort.
Share our posts. Like and comment on content. Send us ideas for stories, people, history, events, and moments that deserve more attention.
Do you know a pilot with a unique story? A student learning to fly? A local business connected to the airport? Historic photos or memories from Whiteman? Neighbors who introduced their children to aviation through EAA Young Eagles?
We want to hear from you.
The strongest support comes from showing the real people behind Whiteman Airport every single day.
Thank you, and blue skies ahead.
